Plans have been finalized for Leechburg's first "Open House Day"
sponsored by the Leechburg Area Community Association and the Leechburg Fire
Company. "Open House Day" will take place on the final
day of the "Christmas in July"
celebration and carnival, Saturday, July 11, 2009. Events planned for "Open House Day" include a parade, carnival, art gallery show, street vendors and much much more!
Many houses will be available for prospective buyers to look at.
Award winning schools
The Leechburg Area School District has received the US News and World Report's "Bronze Medal" in both 2007 and 2008, ranking them among the nation's top school districts. Knowing how appealing this award can be to prospective home buyers, both the elementary school and the high school will be open for tours on Saturday from 11am-2pm. The tours will be given by teachers, faculty, school board members, Pricipal, Dr. Cynthia Portman, and by the district's Superintendent, Jim Budzilek.
